The Coalition on Intercollegiate Athletics works to help faculty understand changes in requirements, demands, and resources for college athletes. We want to help faculty recognize signs of problems facing athletes and understand what faculty members can do if they recognize problems.
The April 21st, 2023, a one-day program will be held in Washington, D.C. at the Texas A&M Bush School of Government. It will feature panel discussions addressing: Impact of Changes in Name, Image, and Likeness Laws; the Status of NCAA; Gambling Policies; Possible Upcoming Federal Legislation; and Student-Athlete Health. Attendance can be in person ($100) or virtual ($50).
Lodging: the Club Quarters White House, (two blocks from the conference site) is located at 839 17th Street NW, Washington, DC 2006, above the Farragut West Station Metro Stop. Limited parking is available at the hotel.
The Bush School of Government is located at 1620 L Street NW in DC. The meeting is in Room 912/913. Parking is available directly adjacent to the Bush School, on the right side of the Bush School building on L St NW.
Who should attend: Faculty governance representatives, concerned faculty members, Faculty Athletic Representatives, college administrators, press, and student-athletes.
